Shoe Portrait
Objective: To do a real activity with Qualitative and Quantitative observation.
PICTURE:
Draw your shoe to actual size. Make sure that you put in the details on the shoe. For tennis shoes, draw it by laying it on its side and tracing its outline. For flip-flops, draw them by placing the bottom of the shoe on the paper and tracing.
Draw a background environment for your shoe.
Color in the picture.
Label measurements on the picture.
On the separate sheet of paper list out the following:
10 Qualitative Observations—do not taste your shoe!
5 Quantitative Observations—make sure that you measure in centimeters or millimeters
